Make sure you read the installation instruction carefully. Most of the time, people just get it wrong forgetting to remove the square bracket, typo, etc. Try to place the code on an empty HTML page without all the funky javascript that could accidentally prevent the image from showing up. Make sure the test URL you're trying to generate a thumbnail for is valid (not a page not found, etc).
